We are here! In one of the most romantic cities on earth. Our Hotel,the Golden Tulip Opera de Noailles is lovely with wonderful personal service. It is a small boutique hotel. It has dinky little lifts and was wondering if the luggage would have to go in 2 trips but we shoe horned it in. Our room is quite contemporary so will enjoy our 3 day stay here. We are in the Opera District which is supposed to be reasonably upmarket. It is walking distance to most attractions. Have booked a show and dinner for tomorrow and a cruise, dinner, Eiffel tower and a night tour for Wednesday night.
The Eurostar was hassle free and we were in Paris in 2 ½ hours. We both thought the UK was reasonably good value. Paris is really expensive so won’t be buying much. Have to still keep the luggage weight down till Venice.
Had a romantic dinner at a sidewalk restaurant called Le Vaudeville. Buzz was left in Bill’s carryon. We will let him out tomorrow.
